Accomodation

Rhydau Duon has been providing simple accommodation for climbers & walkers since 1973. Situated in superb and unspoilt surroundings in an isolated but accessible position, close to Lake Padarn, in Snowdonia, North Wales. The house is less than 2 miles away from Llanberis.

We have a converted barn with beds for up to 4 people, plus a folding bed for 1 if needed. Breakfast is served in a large homely farmhouse kitchen complete with Aga. We have long standing reputation for providing a warm and friendly atmosphere for anyone interested in the countryside. At the site, there is a drying room and a large garden.

Hugh instructs in rock climbing for groups or individuals as well as people not staying at the centre. Hugh Walton has a Mountain Leader's Certificate, a Teachers certificate in Further Education and is a Senior Instructor in Sea Canoeing.
